It is normal "tradition" especially among Malaysian who celebrate Eid-alFitri to give a money to childrens especially, in the small envelope like the one my son holding on to. It is not something "a must" but nowadays it became somewhat like an "Unofficial Gift" to make children happy but as a parents we should educate our child that Eid-alFitri is not all about collecting money but most importantly to bridge the gap among our family members, friends and also among the muslim as a whole by visiting each other.
